A marathon for hearing research
Friday 14th Jul
Hearing research is close to my heart.
Born profoundly deaf, my life could look very different today if it was not for the brilliant women and men who poured a marathon effort into hearing research and improving the cochlear implant.
In return, I'm running a marathon.
I hope to raise vital funds for hearing research at the Bionics Institute so that these brilliant minds can continue their pioneering work in the hearing space.
Your generosity will help people such as myself, the young parents with a deaf child, those with industrial hearing loss and the elderly person with age related hearing loss all have a chance to improve our hearing.
I won't be doing my training alone.
Meet Billy, a border collie cross kelpie, who will be helping me train every step of the way.
