About the challenge
Hearing loss affects millions of people worldwide and can lead to delayed language development in children, isolation, loneliness and reduced educational and work opportunities.
It's 45 years since Professor Graeme Clark performed the first multi-channel cochlear implant surgery and the cochlear implant has since brought the joy of hearing to hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
The Bionics Institute is continuing Professor Clark's groundbreaking research to find new cures and treatments for hearing loss - and we need your help.
